How to deal with global clients? Payment and contracts

Getting interest from clients outside of the us from my website - bleedingtree.com. I'm concerned though with dealing on that level. I've only dealt with US-based ones, due to taxes, currency, etc.

When I take on a client outside the US (UK, France, and Canada specifically), what do I need to be aware of with regards to contracts and payments? How does the currency conversion work in these cases? Also, are the contracts enforceable, as they are in the US?

As I do business as an LLC, are there things I need to keep in mind, also?

Finally, are there any recommendations of sites that might cover this?

Business Card Idea

The logo is finalized (thx for the comments/feedback, guys).

This is the idea for my "Bleedingtree Creative" business card front. I know it's dark - but I want subtle contrast. I'll still need to tweak it a bit, though, to make sure it prints correctly.

It has the logo on the large upper dark textured area. Let me know if it's too dark to show on your screen.

EDIT: Revised to be a bit lighter

Thoughts?

Freelance Logo - Round 2

And ROUND 2. This time, with no pig/boar profiles :)

"Bleedingtree Creative" is the name.

This will be my freelance "business" brand. I had done this last year, but it never launched out as a full-time gig. After pulling the original up to use...I did as most of you do...I wanted to change it (hehe).

This is another direction I went with it. I do want this to be brandable, and it will be used for Christian design projects, as well (hence the name).

Opinons and critiques? Option 1 or 2? Ignore the color. Just for this comp :)

My logo and business card mock-up (Version #2)

This is a revised logo/business card for my freelance business. Took feedback in and hopefully have it as a more balanced and clean look. Let me know.

My logo and business card mock-up. Honest opinions, please...

Trying to get a bit creative for my freelance business card design. I'll be tweaking the contrast a bit, and considered "tossing dem bones", also. Undecided. The other side will have the primary info. This snap just shows the same side horiz and vert. This is version 2...a little bit of color and contrast. The other was just too dark.

I'm not an illustrator, by any means...

Ok. Freelancing seriously now...need business cards. Vistaprint, Moo, GotPrint, etc.? Advice?

Want to purchase online - need fast turnaround. Overall, though, quality is the highest goal. I need the best value...not the cheapest.

What do I need to look for when shopping around? I see card stock weight talked about (and us.Moo.com has some nice videos on) the importance of it, but what do I need to be looking for?

I've seen enough complaints on Vistaprint, that I'm not really considering them anymore, but I wanted to mention for the alternatives to them.

What are the most compelling reasons to NOT use responsive design? Time to shift to it for 100% of projects?

Pretty straightforward question...responsive designing covers the immediate, as well as the near future needs of sites; but do all projects NEED to be done in this way. Curious as to the main reasons why a client might opt to not go responsive (no mobile users, prefer non-responsive layout, etc.), and how you've addressed those reasons.

Thoughts?

Personally, I can't think of why I shouldn't shift, but want some input.

How would I restrict the use of a CSS file (linked externally) to specific domains or subdomains?

Not really needing it to be encrypted or anything, but I want to be able to restrict the linking to only certain domains/subdomains. I know the source can be viewed, and they can replicate the content...this is primarily to have control for some client projects.

Drupal 7 guys - looking to integrate Recurly with a new project. Experiences?

We are looking to integrate out new Drupal 7 video project with Recurly (recurly.com) - keep PCI-compliance clean, with a great API and documentation. Don't want the Drupal Commerce route, btw...

Want to have a sign-up form from Recurly actually create the registration profile for the Drupal side...passing custom field data to it at creation time. Also mentioned Creating in Drupal, then passing to Recurly. Not sure of the best method.

Anyone have experience integrating the two? recommend one approach over the other? Need more clarification, because I'm as clear as mud :P?

Wireframe for our "live" church bulletin idea

This will be a webpage bulletin, that will rely on real-time updates, and be designed with tablets and phones in mind, primarily. Hope to expand on what it can do. Just ideas and wireframe for now. I just did the logo for the wireframe, and is not approved.

Want to give a good experience for those coming into the church auditorium, so keep that in mind when you look at this. Not just for the website, but for actual church service use.

I want to integrate a note-taking feature, but have to see if the html5 will accomplish it on it's own. Ideas on how to improve?
