Add a custom scrollbar ?

I would just like to know of a good jquery plugin to add a custom scrollbar to a web page or a div instead of the basic one you get when overflowed.

I'm a windows user and I hate the scrollbar the browsers get, so I would like to replace it with a better one. I googled and found some ways to do it, but I'm looking for some other insights, I'm sure there are some plugins that I don't know about and might be better than what I've found.

Cheers, Roland.

Looking for a jQuery Plugin

So, I posted previously a snap and I asked in the the footer of the description about some kind of jQuery Plugin, but I got not answer.

Perhaps it couldn't be read, so I'm asking again, do you know of any plugin that can do something similar to the snap ? Having both a arrow navigation and bullet navigation for sliding content ? It can be opensource or for sale, it doesn't matter as long as there is something like that.

Minishop Feedback

Hello community readers,

So I have previously had two posts with some product chart prototype. It has now come to an end and in the snap above it's pretty much what it'll look like, probably some little discrepancies since doing it with CSS3 only ( I intend using as little images as possible ) it's a bit of a challenge.

But this snap it's not about that, it's in fact about the next step to the end of the design for the application I'm working on. What you see in the snap is the products displayed, I have no idea how or in which way, for now, neither what else should I add or anything else. It just started as an idea that came to me because I had nothing to do.

So I will need some feedback on how does this thing look and what improvements should I add to it. Or if you have an idea of what I could add or anything else, just drop a comment :)

As a sidenote, I would like to ask all of you if you know of any jQuery plugin that could do what I want to do in the snap, look through the products with the arrows but also having a pagination ? I know of this awesome javascript script that can do the thing with the arrows but I'm not sure about the pagination ( <a href="http://tympanus.net/codrops/2011/06/09/grid-navigation-effects/">Grid Navigation</a> ). Keep in mind that it must behave with anything it's going on inside the products listing like click events and other.

Kind Regards, Roland.

Product Chart Prototype ( Version II )

As I said in the previous post, I was thinking of an web application, that will be specifically for Envato authors. I'll first test it and built it for personal use but if it turns out to be a good project I'll make it available for others too.

The main idea is getting data with cURL using Envato's API. There won't be much data, but I think it's more than enough for what I actually need. I will first loop through the users portfolio and see in which markets he has items ( by user I mean me ), than based on what turns out I'll get all the items he has by marketplace and display it like in the snapshot above.

This will help me list my products in a more personal and better looking way and also get more sales probably. The main idea is the look and feel, not necessary more sales.

I've already prepared the API wrapper and most of the base code to get the data. Now I'm building the design and the concept.

This snap it's what I was thinking of the shopping chart should look like, not necessary the shop chart but the listed item. So I'll need some feedback on it, what else should I add or remove, what changes does it need ? Should I think of something else ? Maybe another way to arrange things ? Let me know everything what's on your mind, bad or good :)

This is a second version of it with some changes added to it as advised by some of the community members.

Logo Design ( Version II )

I have previously designed a logo for personal branding ( the brand name is "<strong>chaoscod3r</strong>" ), and it looked good, but not good enough. So I've decided to try other ways of making a better one.

This is what I've come up till now. Please leave any feedback, as bad as it would be, because I need it. It comes quite hard when I have to make something for myself, so I would appreciate the help.

Cheers, Roland.

<strong>Revised</strong>: As some of you said, I need to make that "<em>s</em>" look like one, so I did. Also I have made the "<em>c</em>" a bit more circular as suggested. Let me know what you think of the improvements.

Secure Login System v2.0 Launched

http://tinyurl.com/c76kh66

After another two months of work I have release v2.0 of a previous application I've build. A login system to help protect web pages and more.

If you follow the link you can read more about it and see it working, it's not much but it's a start. I have plenty of other ideas how to make it better and improve it, but ideas from fella developers are gladly accepted, so please do leave comments with any feedback or ideas, improvements or bugs.

Cheers, Roland.

Best Code Highlighter

I have searched for some code highlighting script on Google and found a few. I was using Google's one for a while but I'm wondering if there aren't any better script out there or more flexible ones.

If some of you do know about other ones please tell me.

Cheers, Roland.

Going on Linux

I have decided to test Linux a little bit and see how it works out for me. I got tired of Windows, I've been using it since the early version '95 and I think it's time for a change.

But I have a couple of questions which I hope someone will answer me. First of all which Linux would be better if I use a lot of development tools and designing tools as well, such as Adobe's Suite Case, and other dev tools that I know that work on Linux ? Second, Would I be able to do most of the things I did on Win on Linux too ? Besides games I guess. And lastly, how dramatic would this change be for my design work ? Would the file extensions be changed or something ? Would I need to operate differently ?

Also what else do I need to know about Linux ?

Sublime Text 2 Theme Installation

I have just downloaded Sublime Text 2 and I'm trying to install the Soda theme. I'm running on Windows.

But I don't know how to do that. I tried to follow the instructions from the Git but with no luck, can someone help me a bit ?

Also, does it provide syntax highlight for LESS files ?
