5 Best Dedicated Server Hosting in India - Expert Choice

Over at Forrst, we mostly rate & recommend affordable web hosting services to beginners & SMBs. However, we — better than almost anyone — understand that even a VPS, let alone a shared hosting, isn’t sufficient after a certain success-point of a website.
That’s when you start looking at other options.
If you are reading this listicle, you have likely decided to go with dedicated servers. That’s a great choice — with dedicated servers, your website is isolated from other sites, with its dedicated server resources (RAM, CPU, storage, & IP). Meaning, you’ll get the best possible speed, security, uptime, flexibility, etc.
“Best possible” here depends on the hosting provider you choose. If it’s one of the following, you’ll get the best possible from the best dedicated server hosting.
The 5 Best Dedicated Server Hosting - Mini-reviews
1. BlueHost

Bluehost is among the top-3 in all our lists, including VPS hosting, cheap hosting, shared hosting, WordPress hosting, and more. That’s quite an accomplishment! It being our favorite dedicated server hosting just adds to it. And why wouldn’t it be the favorite? You get robust SSD storage, Xeon processors, plenty of RAM, 99.99% uptime, free domain name, free SSL, free installers, root access, dedicated customer support, and much more.
The plans start from as low as Rs.6,499/month, which is its Standard plan that comes with an 8 core CPU, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB RAID1 storage, 3 IP addresses, and 5 TB bandwidth. You can upgrade up to 30 GB RAM, 1.5 TB storage, and 15 TB bandwidth — which are the features of its 10,499/month Premium plan.
2. A2Hosting

A2 Hosting is our #1 recommended reseller hosting. And its high-quality servers have a lot to do with that recommendation, alongside the features we mentioned in our review. In fact, we’d go as far as saying its server quality is better than Bluehost’s; however, the price to features ratio benefited Bluehost massively, making it the #1 of this list.
A2 sells different kinds of dedicated servers:
3. GoDaddy

If you read our Godaddy review, you know we do not recommend GoDaddy’s web hosting plans. The primary reason for labeling it “not recommended” was tied around its lesser value for money shared packages — the overall server performance there was top-notch, as you can see in the test results. Its dedicated server plans come with that top-notch performance and leaves behind the “overpriced” aspect.
The base plan, DS-32, starts as low as Rs. 8,839/month and comes with 4 core/8 thread Intel Xeon processor, 32 GB DDR4 RAM, and 2 x 4 TB HDD storage. There’s also an SSD NVMe option costing Rs. 9,519/month for 2 x 500 GB SSD. The most expensive package costs Rs. 28,559/month — it gets you 16 core/32 thread AMD EPYC CPU, 256 GB RAM, and 2 TB SSD storage!
4. InMotion Hosting

InMotion’s bare metal servers are some of the most affordable dedicated servers you can get. The overall service is fast (multiple data center options & NVMe SSD storage), secure (multi-layer defense), and reliable (99.99% network uptime). However, it’s lower on the list because its data centers are only in the US & nowhere near India.
The bare metal Essential plan costs a measly $57.50/month. The plan includes 4 core/8 thread Intel Xeon E3-1246 v3 CPU, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 6 TB transfer, 1 TB SSD, and 5 dedicated IPS. There’s also a managed version of this plan that costs $97.50/month. There’s no limit to the server you can configure — get custom-developed from InMotion if needed!
5. HostGator

HostGator’s plans are kind of opposite to that of InMotion’s. It has dedicated servers in India, but the value-for-money is not that great, dragging HostGator to the last in this list. Each plan comes with HDD RAID-1 storage, free website migration, and other standard features.
Basic is HostGator’s cheapest plan. Costing Rs. 8,839/month, it includes Intel E3-1220v3
3.10 GHz 4-core CPU, 6 GB DDR3 RAM, 1000 GB storage, and 1 TB bandwidth. On the other end, Pro priced at Rs. 15,729/month includes Intel E3-1271v3 3.60 GHz 4-core CPU w/HT, 30 GB DDR3 RAM, 2000 GB HDD, and 2 TB bandwidth. This was just about their Linux dedicated servers; similarly, they have Managed & Windows servers.
What is Dedicated Server Hosting?

The Wikipedia definition states it as a type of Internet hosting in which the client leases an entire server not shared with anyone else.
How to choose Dedicated Server Hosting?
If you are choosing a dedicated server hosting, we assume your business directly or indirectly depends on it. So, it’s crucial to consider these things before making a decision:
- 1Your performance requirements: All dedicated server hosting providers mention the resources you’ll get with the plan. Which plan to choose depends on your performance requirements- potential storage needed, approximate real-time visitors/users, total bandwidth needed, etc.
- 2
The actual performance: Once the requirements are clear, look for how the server performs. Check for SRT, loading speed, stress test, and uptime stats.
- 3Hosting provider’s team: The provider’s engineers and specialists will be the ones handling your server & solving your queries. Make sure you are dealing with real professionals.
That’s about it.
Who is Dedicated Hosting for?
Because the whole server is dedicated to the user’s needs, it’s an excellent option for anyone who gets huge amounts of traffic, whether in real-time or overall. Plus, it’s great for privacy & security as it’s an isolated server & you have full access to it.
Conclusion
Congratulations! If your online business is at a stage where you need a dedicated server(s) to handle all the users, we can only say “congratulations!”
